Can i connect laptop audio to ipod port?

You need something hooked up to the RCA input jacks. I have the Nav System, I don't know if the jacks come in cars without it. As far as I know that is the only way to get video on the screen.

so your saying i have to feed a video source to the rca jacks, instead of the car itself playing the dvd

That is exactly what I am saying. To get the DVD option in the car you need an M series.

gotcha... seems like alot of work, just to watch a dvd in a car that isnt moving, haha

mmmhmmm just do a bypass... and then ur good to go... but when I am driving I am too busy anyways LOL and if its for front passenger I suggest getting a proper one done ie.. visor screen and hooked up properly on its own.

check the pal/ntsc settings on the ipod
