Moto Razr + G bluetooth = no phone contacts?

So I have a motorola Razr (V3xx) and I can't figure out how to transfer my phone contacts to my bluetooth. I understand I am not the only one having this issue and I've tried searching for better answers but none seem to come up.

I've tried sending each contact one by one but once the car receives one contact, the next contact that is sent will replace the previous contact and so on. Anyone have a Razr and figure this out?

Also if the Razr just won't work for it, what phone does work for sending your entire phonebook for AT&T? Thanks.

BTW the car is fully loaded (Nav, prem, tech).

Do you have Navi or just Premium Bluetooth?

I found this out the hard way too.

I ended up getting a new phone that same week (8525 which works), so I never really did find a solution. Good luck though.

I found out that it is just my phone that can't physically send the entire phonebook in one shot.

I think I have a solution though. I have a program on my computer called mototools and I think I can import my phonebook to that program from my phone, then connect my laptop to the bluetooth system in the car and see if I can upload my phonebook that way. The program will act as a virtual cell phone simulator so I'm hoping that the car will be fooled and recognize it as a cell phone.

I know a lot of people have this issue with their cell phones and their cars so if this works I'll post back a solution.

It's not just the Razr that can't send it all in one go, I tried several before buying my new phone.

Interesting idea using the mototools though.....hope it works for you.

I have the same problem with my Verizon RAZR. I've heard that none of the Verizon phones can transfer phonebooks due to some software issue. Although I've also heard you can transfer to Ford products with SYNC. Hopefully this is something Infiniti can correct on future models.

It seems as if Infiniti has made a bluetooth product that doesn't extract anything really from the phone and just acts as a paired speaker with limited options. Whereas other bluetooth products on other cars and even the parrot are designed to extract everything from the phone that it can.

Infiniti here is relying on the phones capabilities in order to make everything more convenient on the screen when it should be the opposite.

Yes, it depends on the phone. If you have a blackberry or treo then it will transfer the contacts with no probs.

Folks, I am having the exact same problem -- cannot transfer phonebook contacts. Just wondering if this issue was resolved? Thanks!

iPhone 3G and 2G won't transfer either. In fact the phone may freeze if you try to transfer.
