2008+ G35 LOW volume for XM radio??

Hey guys

2008 G35X here (as if you couldnt tell by the user nmae)

Anyway, I've noticed a sizeable difference in volume between using the FM band, and my XM radio. The FM radio is actually a bit louder, and I find myself having to turn the sat. radio a lot more than I have to for regular radio.

Anyone else notice this on your Gs?

My XM is exactly the same. I always have to increase the volume when switching to XM.

What's "FM"?

I'm either on my Ipod, musicbox, or XM.
There is one FM station that I listen to from time to time to catch up on political talk, but that's it.
Going from music to talk on FM, I personally haven't noticed this.

Yep, I've noticed this also. I haven't taken the time to see if there's a gain adjust available in the XM box. I'm assuming the XM input to the main system is analog, though. Then again, maybe not. It does display station and programming.

^ whats fm? - lol

i have had sat radio in three cars now including the g and this is a common problem no matter what the vehicle. it does not matter if the system is factory or not. i think it has something to do with the fm transmitter. this did not happen with original aftermarket sat systems but since then the gov regulated the frequency output form the new systems. get used to turning the vol down before you switch back to fm or cd.
