I was searching on Infiniti Parts USA and noticed they sell the DVD Unit and Switch Assy. My Brother has an 08 g35x no navi or camera packages and i noticed on my car the switch assy buttons are different than the non navi ones, do any of u guys now if you purchase this DVD Unit and Switch Assy will the buttons be for the navi mode because it does not show on the pictures and can you install it on base g35x?

Nav

the cost would be HUGE, you would have to replace the screen (nav cars have a touch screen) control at the bottom of the screen, several harnesses & you would loose your in dash 6-disk changer, basically you would have to replace all the internal components from the cig lighter to the screen (except for the hvac controls.. Get a Garmin black box & use the a/v inputs, I've seen another G35 here on this forum with that setup, looks great..
