i plan on tapping mine at the fuseblock. you can use the hot wire for the radio or cigarette lighter. i recommend the cigarette lighter. just get an add-a-fuse and put it in. was quite straightforward.

I think....

the OP wants a remote amp turn-on wire -- he wants his amp triggered to be turned on when the radio/cd/etc is on.. and not when it's off.

Does the non-Bose have an amplifier? if so, perhaps you can tap the remote turn on wire from the OEM turn on wire.

Otherwise I was thinking you could create a hidden switch somewhere to be able to turn off your amp when you're not using it to preserve it's life.

Having installed many systems including my G35 it is easiest i find to just place your remote wire into an existing fuse. I have always used the sunroof fuse or an accessory fuse if you dont have a sunroof. By doing it this way there is no splicing of any wires, and less risk of any interference.

no there is no splicing at all. That is why it is so convenient and easy. You just simply pull out the acc fuse and place the remote wire down the slot where the fuse prong goes. You can also split the wire and put it in both prong holes. I always use just one side though since the remote wire is so thin anyway. Then you just replace the fuse and that's it.

Do you have the stock head unit or the Bose system with the amp? This will determine how it is hooked up.

With a stock HU you just need to locate the power wire and the left and right speaker outputs. I am not sure which wires they are though. You will need to find a wiring diagram for that. Then once you locate them you just splice them into the stock wires and then plug your RCA's into the LOC and you are good to go.
