LED question.

Hey guys,

I'm planning on changing the LEDs on my car since cause the Hoen LEDs I have aren't very bright, plus one of them burned out today so I'll need a new one.
I'm looking at getting LEDs from v-leds.com so I'd like to know:

1) How good are their LEDs? Do they last a long time? (they look like quality material )
2) How well does a 6000k LED match 6000k HIDs? (going to order 6000k HID bulbs soon)
3) Should I go for 5000k LEDs for a better match? (only problem with this is I'm planning on changing out the LEDs in my glove box and reverse lights, v-leds doesn't offer either of these bulbs in 5000k)

Thanks

I've had v-LEDs for 6 years and none of them have burnt out. In fact, I've been happy with them until this past Saturday when I came across some new ones I bought from a local vendor, Statik.

Here is a side by side comparison:

^^^new on the left, old (vLED) right

These are pure white with no blue tint/hue.

I have used a lot of leds from V-leds. They all have been of much better quality and don't burn up like most of the cheap ones on ebay. If you order them from them, their color ratings are usually very close to other bulb colors but their can always be a little difference between what one company says compared to another. I doubt you would notice differences in colors.

Thanks for the replies guys, lets see what others have to say too.

UCIMA, I'm just hoping someone confirms that the 6000k LEDs would match 6000k HID bulbs so I can get all the LEDs for the car in the exact same color.

Calvin, I'd check that vendor out but since I'm looking to change so many bulbs I'm going to stick to one company, just so they all match.

I have LEDs on both of my cars from them, and am very happy so far. Just make sure you buy the surface mount type, which are the newer variety.

Thanks for the reply San, I'll be ordering $130 worth of LEDs from them so I hope you're right. lol
Anyone know if I should just order the 6000k HID bulbs from them too ($50) or order the Phillips Ultinons ($200+). I don't mind paying the extra cash if it'll last and not burn out within months.

Thanks Cabad. I'll get the Ultinons then...
I hope the 6k LEDs match up with the Ultinons well. I'll be changing 16 bulbs on my car
