Exclamation Aux Info / Ipod / Recording .

I'm sorry if this is repeated from previous threads. I did search but I am still confused. I just have a few questions that I would like addressed. I bought a Aux cable for my ipod last night and think I made the wrong choice.

I have a 2007 Infiniti g35 S 6mt 'loaded' (Navi,Tech,Prem,etc)

I have a (5th gen?) Video Ipod & an Ipod Touch.

1. How do I get my dash to display Ipod videos?

2. How do I get my dash to display my Ipod Options/Feautures/Songs/etc.?

2. How do I get my dash/steering wheel controls to 'control' my Ipod?

3. Which cable should I purchase? ( Is it true that the Apple one will be the only one that will work?) - Please link me
Is this it?
http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB...co=MTA4MjUwMzk

^ Griffin & Rocketfish make a similar product, will they work as well?

I think I may have left something out. Someone really needs to make a sticky about our cars audio system.

Thanks,

Adam

1) Put your car in park and apply e-brake. Hit AUX button. Enjoy.
- Bypassing motion lockout will allow to display the video while moving but it is a dangerous distraction and we can't discuss it on this forum for that reason.
2) Yes, only by installing Ipod integration (Nissan). It is sold by everythingg35.com. Steering wheel controls don't work with Nissan factory Nav, Since you have a Nav unit, I am not even sure your car qualifies at all for this. Search the forum for more info. I am going to try and install an aftermarket unit I bought on eBay to do this, but my car does not have Nav.
3) Your link points to the correct cable. Don't know about G&R product but ipods are finicky and I would just go with OEM here.
