Took a while to get to NYC from Arizona, but oh well.

Install was pretty easy, tap 3 wires. Came with good instructions and everything needed.

Only difference I find is that mine is super sensitive. After reading this thread I set mine pretty high to 8, every car that passed by set it off. Brought down to 6, same thing, going off all the time. 4 was better but trucks and ricers set it off multiple times a day

Finally I got it down to 2/12 - 3 and so far so good. I think maybe mine is very sensitive cause I tie wrapped the sensor to the bundle of cables pretty tight so perhaps the tighter you tie the wrap the more sensitive?

Wish I took some pics, but like the poster above me said, it was a nice day and wanted to do it quick! lol.

Seems like we have couple of option as to which impact sensor we choose to go with. Just wanted to know which is a better option. OEM or the aftermarket one listed above? Just wonderin that's all.. maybe this is something I will consider later down the line

After all the research i've done, it seems that OEM vs. aftermarket makes no difference as far as what it does. They both trip the car alarm when vibration is detected.

I think the main difference is Ease of Installation. OEM may be a bit more expensive, but it comes with Step by Step instructions and all connectors needed.

Aftermarket are Universal and no instructions for our cars. You will have to figure out which wires get connected where and cross your fingers and hope it works.

That may be worth it for some people to save a few bucks, but not me. I played it safe and went with OEM. Zero issues and works great.

 

Thanks for the info sir. I think I will likely go with the OEM one since this is to be set up with the OEM alarm system.
