2007 G35S - Intermittent Wheel Function Problem
Hi everyone, I'm pretty new to the forums and I just got my car about 2 weeks ago. A couple of days ago, the steering wheel functions (i.e. volume, up-down selector, voice command, etc) wouldn't work, but after shutting the car off and turning it back on a little while later, some buttons work, some don't.
Now when I turn my car on, it's like a little game to see which functions I have access too: sometimes I have volume access, but no up/down selector, or I have voice command, but no volume access.
I was wondering if any of you guys have come by this and any possible solutions. BTW, my car is still under warranty, but I'm not sure if they cover things like this? Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

if this is under warranty bring it right back and document it. sounds like you may have an issue with your clockspring. i thought i had a clockspring issue a few weeks ago but my problem was related to my aftermarket ipod adapater and the harness that plugs into the radio.
if it's under warranty they'll cover it, but don't wait.

Over the weekend, another problem popped up: airbag light was constantly blinking.
Brought the G in on Monday and just got it back today. The root of the problem: bad spiral cable.
On another note, also got the following taken care of under warranty:
-replaced cover above steering wheel due to corners popping out
-replaced driver-side panel due to paint chipping
-reprogrammed navigations due to voice command button not working.
All was taken care of, no questions asked. All in all, it was a great first time dealership experience!
