Iphone 4g and bluetooth not working right

ok i got the iphone 4 and i have searched the threads to see if anyone posted but i got nothing. it seems to pair fine but everyone is telling me it sounds like im in a tunnel, people cant hear me when i make a call. and for some reason when i receive a call the bt works then when i pick up through the cars interface it goes straight to my phone? i talked to my dealership about it and they tell me my phone isnt compatible with my bt but i dont understand how that could be. i used one of the approved phones and it still has that tunnel sound. so it has to be my mic no? anyone else have this prob?

Actually this a known issue with the iphone 4. I had the first gen iphone and it worked great with BT in my 2008 g35. With my new iphone 4, any calls I make, the person on the other end cannot hear me, but I can hear them just fine. A real PITA.

See apple forums for more details and more complaints about iphone 4 BT. According to the forums there, apple will correct with software in a OS minor release (when I do not know).

all i know is i have had 4 iphones already.... off the topic it has to be the worst phone ever made. seriously!!!! but in defense it still sounded like **** even with one of there approved phones on the list. i have a friend who owns a cell store so we used one and it still sounded like i was in a tunnel to anyone on the other line. i think its the speaker system. cause i hear them fine... they just cant hear me

Does anyone know where the bluetooth mic is located in the car?

I am never sure where to speak towards when I am on a call.

Its strange bc with my Iphone 4 only some people have trouble hearing me. Mainly thoes with the old 3G/3GS I phones.

If I call land lines its totally fine.
