iPhone 3GS OS4.0.1 Compatability (Warning)
I have a iPhone 3GS that was running the old OS (3.1.2). This works fine using the factory iPod interface on the G35.
However, I recently upgraded to the new OS (4.0.1) and the car will no longer recognize that the phone is connected. To be clear, bluebooth still works, but if you try to play music through the factory interface, the message is "iPod is not connected." Strangely, there is still power going to the iPhone because it will still charge.
This morning I downgraded back to 3.1.2 fimrware (in addition to this problem, 4.0.1 was very buggy and had stability and battery life issues as well) and everything is back to normal.
Please note that this post refers only to iPhone 3GS users who have upgraded their firmware. There are a few recent posts popping up regarding the iPhone 4's bluetooth issues. I have not experienced that problem.
Anyone else have an iPhone 3G or 3GS with the new OS? Any issues? Are you jailbroken / unlocked?
