Studio on Wheels volume
Studio on Wheels volume
All,
I tried searching but didn't see anything relevant...
I have an '07 G35S with Premium / Nav...the stereo volume even at nearly full blast is not very loud. Today, I got a base G35 and the volume is insane. What the base stereo sounds like at 3 or 4 volume bars (out of ~20) sounds like mine at nearly full volume.
Is this normal, or could it be that there is a blown fuse or something?

I noticed this as well when I got a loaner car that had the studio on wheels. I dont have it in my car, and was disappointed when I realized how quiet it was compared to mine. I could barely hear it at full tilt on the highway with the windows down. My guess would be this is how the keep the harmonic distortion down by keeping the volume levels low.
I've noticed the same thing as well. My volume is routinely up over 50% when I'm driving at highway speeds and listening to the CF Card Slot. If its a classical piece, I'm at 80% volume just to hear it. My EQ settings are fine, I just figured this is how the Studio on Wheels system worked.
Bose system at full blast can be a little bit unbearable to my ears, I never have to turn it up pass 70%, anything beyond is just too loud to me. On the other hand, I had driven a base G, even though it can be turn up pretty loud, I didn't think it was any louder than the Bose, let alone it makes me realized how good the Bose actually is compare to the base sound system.
