Invisicord = Laser warning

Invisicord = Laser warning
I just installed the invisicord and mount on my 2007 Infiniti G35S my detector is a Passport 9500i. It works, but it keeps singling laser warning randomly! this started to happen right after i installed my invisicord and went out for a drive. after that there has been a few times where it would just sound laser warning continuously right after i start the engine, and when reboot the detector, it will go back to normal. but when driving it would just sound laser alert when there is nothing around and then die off immediately after the signal was detected.
Any ideas as to why this is?
thanks

I don't have the tech package, so no active curse or navi, I also wasn't using the curse control on the drive, i was in the city for the entire way. the fuse kit is very complicated which is what i kind of hate. the detector is power fine but i just don't understand where the random signal is coming from. I will do more driving on Monday and see if anything changes

You should first hook it back up like you had it and see if the problem continues. If so, well, you need to get this warrantied out.
Hooking this up to the mirror will not cause a problem. I have had my V1 installed on my mirror in my 06 G coupe and my last 2 STi's with no issues. The V1 is about 4 years old and has spent 6 months in the G like this with no issues. If there was a problem or high current draw it would blow the fuse like its suppose to.
I would look at the unit to see if there is a problem with it first. My old room mate had one of these and it gave him random problems (same laser issue as you described) in the 2 years he owned it.

An update, i realized today that the problem isn't caused by invisicord, it's the mounting location, i tried the original cord and the same issue occurred.
Kool_yarr, can you explain straightening out. what do you mean by it. I try to make the detector as horizontal as possible and the issue still occurs.
mishmosh, what is a visor clip mount, can you send me a link to it?
thanks

I've had an issue just recently start to occur. I have a blendmount and invisicord forboth my g37 and my ford explorer. I have a v1 in the g and an escort 8500 in the explorer. The v1 works perfectly fine, but the escort has been falsing randomly with laser. The weird thing is, it will also go off if I honk the horn. This will happen on the first honk only. If I honk again immediately, the laser does not go off. Ive tried this every other day or so, laser warning on the first press of the horn, then nothing.
