ipod cable help??

Hi folks,
I just bought a 2008 G35-S sedan which appears to have a plug for an ipod cable, but came with no cable. My internet search hasn't turned up any parts specifically for infinity, and there are at least three different part numbers for Nissan. Any leads on how to identify the right cable?

Thanks

I just bought an 08 G35 nd it also came with no Ipod cable. I went to the dealer and picked up a 6in cable that plugs into my Ipod and puts it on the screen. It cost about $56. It also charges my 1st gen Ipod touch. Hope this helps.

Which cable?!

Just bought an 08 g35x, which like you, came with no ipod cable. I have read numerous posts about ipod cables on the site and have found lots of varying opinions on what to use. Mostly I find users recommending isimple and USAspec to plug the ipod in. I however, want something simple that will show up on the factory screen and charge. For $56, the cord you got seems like a steal! Did you get a part # or have a description so I can go to the dealership and request one?

I dont have a part number i just threw away the bag it came in but here is a pic for u. I just walked into my infiniti dealer and said i need and ipod cable for my 08, he told me 300+ at first and then retracted and said "oh 08? nm hold on" and came out with this small cable. In your armrest you should have a big square 20pin connector, if thats what you have this cable will work, and if your lucky it should charge your ipod as well i have a first gen touch and it charges just fine. Hope this helps.

I believe the 07 doesn't have integrated iPod, at least that's what the dealer told me. But if you have the cable you might have it. It would plug in into the center console next to your ac plug.

If u want it to go through the stereo and use factory controls you have to buy an aftermarket ipod hook up. The dealer told me it runs about $300. You could probably look up USA spec i know they make adapters for acura and other might make one from infiniti. Not sure if 300 is worth spending just to use your controls.

This may be what you will need.

^ oh ur right, the only reasOn why I didn't count that as an option is cuz that doesn't work with navi, which I have..;-/

Currently USA SPEC does not have any application solution for the following Infiniti year models:
G35/37 Sedan: 07-09 Nav radio
