Bose G35 07 with remote wire problems

Why is the remote in my car so weak? I checked the voltage and I wasn't getting 12volts. And on the subwoofer connector I have one extra wire than what is shown on the diagram from most people. It's black, so I believe it's ground, but then that would mean I have 2 grounds for the subwoofer.

Anyone else have this problem as well? When I use my brothers JL Audio amp with auto sense turn on it works fine, but my amp doesn't have auto sense remote turn on. So I need another solution. Thanks.

without having the schematics in front of me i'll assume the remote is coming from the head unit or other source and isn't required to be 12V for the stock amp.

if you have the amp in the trunk consider using the XM harness power as a 12V turn on, otherwise i would pull the head unit and use the acc power from the headunit, since i think this is only on when the head unit is on.
