Dumb question:Where do you put the crossover when installing component door speakers?

Does it go on the inside of the door or the outside?

I bought the Polks (6501, I think). I haven't even seen them yet. I just know that they are waiting on my doorstep for me. I've never seen components for that matter.

I know the tweeter goes in the tweeter hole, the woofer goes in the woofer hole... the crossover? Does this have controls on it to adjust things? If so, do I leave it hanging from the door? That seems a bit sloppy.

Do I just set it to my liking and stuff it on the inside?

I'm not sure. Want to dig into installing them tonight though.

The crossovers goes in the doors. There is lots of empty space between the door and the door liner to accomodate it.
