XM FM level

I know its a long shot but any one know if their is a way to adjust the levels of the XM modules outputs?

The volume level of XM is way lower then FM. If I don't remember to turn the volume down before I switch from XM to FM I get blasted... scares the crap out of me....and then I get pissed.

I can't believe they sell the car this way. They need to boost XM or cut FM so are at the same level or as close as possible.

i think i also posted something about this when i got my car a few years ago. unfortunately i know of no way to do this. the bass on xm radio is seriously lacking. cd's and FM are much higher levels.

Every car I've had with XM has had the same condition. I guess that space radio just isn't as powerful.

well ya know what you can do....and it takes some work, you can install a variable level converter (such as those used for external amplifiers) and perhaps add some boost but i don't know if it's really worth it.

i don't know what it is but it seems like the hardware manufacturers just couldn't get it right. one thing i noticed though was that when i had an ipod adapter hooked up to the head unit that it also had low volume, and it directly connected at the back of the head unit using the XM radio input pins. based on that i think that the issue is the level within the head unit, why nissan didn't make it even i have no clue.
