Question New Iphone 4s Integration.. Please Enlighten Me

So I purchased a new Iphone 4s from Verizon and I'm interested in hooking it up to my car. I don't want those cr*ppy FM transmitters because the music quality is poor.

I did a little research and it seems like I would have to buy the Composite AV Cable from Apple:
http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC...OPIP-Shopzilla

2007 Infiniti G35s Fully Loaded w/ Navigation

1. With this cable will I be able to watch and listen to music/videos from my iphone?

2. Will my Ipod screen transmit to the AUX screen? (Say I want to check the weather, will I be able to use the cars screen instead of the Iphones?) (Of course the E-Brake will be up.. at least for now...)

3. Will I be able to use my AUX Screen/Car Stereo to flip through my songs and videos or will I have to do it from the Ipod?

4 . If I can't control it from the car, what must be done in order to control it?

Thanks in advanced and I apologize if it's been asked before... I did try to research a little and found the composite cable.

1. Yes.
2. No.
3. No.
4. I believe you have to buy a module box. Not sure what's it called but I am sure you can search for it.

I have the 2007 G35 Sedan as well and have done the forbidden mod to my car. The poster above was correct EXCEPT for point 2. It is actually possible to transmit everything from your iphone screen to your car screen (i.e. weather, apps, text messages, EVERYTHING). I do it every day. I have actually created a post showing how it would look on the screen. If you would like to know to do it, please PM me.

I think you need to have it jailbroken to download an app called TVOut, mine is not jailbroken so I haven't tried it. There may be a version on iTunes but it's not free.

Yes, TVout will display the screen for you. Unless you go with a "carputer" or a mimics panel (see link below) then you won't be able to control it from the screen.

According to the page on g35parts.com, you *cannot add the iPod controller to a 2007 G35 with navigation. You may want to call them and talk with them about it, maybe they can help. Otherwise you can always get a Parrot Bluetooth system with iPod adapter, a USAspec adapter, a PAC iPod adapter, and i'm sure there are others.

There are many iPod integration threads in this section, so i'm sure you'll find the answers you're looking for.
