2008 G35 w XM& NAV and Iphone options
Hello
Been scouring the site for option for playing and charging my iphone. Would like to use the USA Spec....Has anyone with a 2008 G35 XM & NAV been able to get it to work?
Or any other options. Called Crutchfield and they have nothing...Got to be something out there..
Thanks
Bob

If you have an iphone i think 4 and up you can use the following and add it to the iphone attachment built into the car (center arm rest).

I'm guessing any humming noise would come from interference with the phone's cell signal.

the humming shouldn't be caused by the cell signal. sounds like the scosche piece may be causing a change in the ground loops, which is typically where interference comes from in stereos.
if you want to play your iphone are you able to just pair it over bluetooth? you could then hardwire a charger to the car. otherwise you may need to look into adding a parrot bluetooth system since it has an iPhone adapter option. i don't think there is much out there for adding iPods to the Nav system.
you may want to consider trying a different dock adapter to see if that eliminates the ground hum, then place the extension cable on top of it, which would eliminate the cable falling out of the iPhone port.
