NavTool vs. PAC VCI-NIS2 (Any thoughts?)
I have a 2008 G35xs non-nav. I installed an aftermarket nav GVN- 53 using the aux ports and the forbidden mod. I'm looking to add a backup cam using one of these two plug play systems and adding the nav trunk finish trim piece for factory look. Does anyone have experience with the quality or compatability of these systems. It seems the PAC can be had for less $ on amazon. I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks

I have the PAC module and personally I think it's awesome. It's plug and play, easily hidden behind the LCD screen and the quality is very good. I use it for my backup camera and my Carputer to run Garmin software on it (check my threads if you need more info). It's tried and true. I think the Navtool has more than two inputs, correct? If you need three inputs then that's the right one for you but if not just go with the PAC.

Thanks for the reply! Looks like I'll go with the PAC. My main concern was the quality of signal, which sounds like it's not a problem. Just want the backup camera. Now I need to pick up the trunk trim. Was looking around for deals, best I can find so far is from infinitiusa for about $240 shipped.

The quality is excellent. If you're not set with going for the stock camera setup I recommend a boyo license plate camera (which is what I have). I have a CCD Boyo VT420 camera, which is excellent quality. The CMOS (digital) cameras are good too and have better night vision sometimes but mine would not work below 35 degrees F, so basically most of the winter it was out of commission.
