Cruise Control Installation

Hi guys

Just wondering if any has done a cruise control installation to their car using OEM control switches and UpRev? Thinking of getting it done for my car and was hoping to just do it DIY....

Found a few DIY posts about 350z doing it but not the the 07 G35 and G37s....

If you're talking standard cruise control and not the radar assisted then I have to imagine it wouldn't be all that hard but I can't see it being worth the time and cost, but i'm biased since I NEVER use my cruise control. I would recommend looking at the shop manual to figure out what pre-existing wiring is present in your model G to begin with. I have a base level G (2008) though and it still has cruise control so now i'm curious which year and trim level you have.

Well I have a JDM version and they do not have cruise control on every car. Yes I am talking about the standard ones. Just thinking that switches and fuses I would need. Since I have UpRev, the software side of things has been taken care of...I am not very sure how to read the shop manual ha...

Well you'll need the steering wheel switches (as you mentioned), not sure if the JDM clockspring in the steering wheel supports those switches so you may need the US clockspring also to install. Then you need to verify the wiring between the clockspring harness to the fusebox and BCM, so this actually may be a pain in the *** now that i'm thinking about it.

Here's a link to the shop manuals, courtesy of another member:

I'm not sure which section of the manual contains all the cruise control stuff but you'll probably be looking between several sections to verify the electrical wiring.

Got it will take a look and report back.

I know I will need the cruise control switches and the brake switch. Wasn't sure if there was a fuse or two that will need to be wired in.
