2008 to 2010 Nav unit (upgraded software)

I have a 2008 G35XS with NAV, PREM, and TECH package and I was wondering what it would take to get the software off of a 10' g with the newer interface and put it into the 08 thanks! P.S

Yes it can be done, no it is not simple. It will take couple hundred dollars and many many hours of work.

If you just want a map update, you can buy the disk for $150 and another $120 for dealer to install it (ie put disk in and enter their code)

Neither option is worth the money. Just use your phone.

The navteq map updates go on sale for $99 and some dealers will charge $99 to install. Still expensive but may be worth it to some.

Maybe worth it 10 years down the line if you still have the car. Not worth it for 2 years worth of updates

What about the display itself. How everything looks on the display. I installed a 2010 display but the background has not changed like the newer infinitis. Would you need to flash for that as well?
