Help new G35x owner bluetooth issue

Hello everyone

I just purchased a 2008 G35x sedan. Let me start by saying that i love this car given that i purchased it for a bargin.

The car i purchased does not have the navigation unit but it is equipped with the bose stereo with 6 disc indash changer as well as rca outputs.

My delimma is as follow.

I see on my steering wheel 2 buttons on the left bottom with a phone sign which i assume are for the voice recognition however, whenever i press either one nothing happens. I have read through the manual and it states that the car is equipped with a hands free bluetooth. I have tried to search through the settings on the screen but i see nothing about bluetooth or phone pairing.

Is it possible that the buttons are on there for show only with no actual use for them? Or is there a bluetooth module some wheres in the car which maybe faulty?

Your input is greatly appreciated.
