iPod interface - poor audio quality, no charge

I bought a new iPod touch 6th gen to use on my G35. I knew going in that to charge would take some extra hardware. I bought a genuine Apple 30-pin to lightning adapter (no cable) and a charge adapter (
Amazon Amazon
). Still not getting any power to my iPod... I also tried a Scosche Homedock PassPort without success. Also tried 3 different Infiniti iPod interface cables (one was OEM). Would like to see if the port in the glovebox is putting out 12 V but don't know which pin in the port to test.

I am able to get the iPod to connect data-wise, however the audio quality is really bad. All the high frequencies are really distorted and "tinny". The low frequencies are fine however.

I had an old iPod classic that used to play well and charge without issue on my G35. Though that was a few years back.

Any help is appreciated!

Fixed the audio quality issue. It is a system iOS bug and needed to turn off Siri.

Still no luck with charging however.

I have a 2008 G35x and just got my Amazon iPod cable (Xtenzi 284H2-ZT50A) and a Bovee 1000 Bluetooth adapter and it doesn't power on or charge my old 80gb iPod Classic. Found out about the whole 12v to 5v power issue so I ordered an Alpine Kcx-422tr Charging Adapter which should be here pretty quick. Since that still might not charge I found an adapter on ebay (https://www.ebay.ca/itm/202463268305) that has a micro usb on it so you can add power to it that way, it's pretty much the same thing as the Cablejive Dockstubz+ but cheaper and I can get it sooner.

Hopefully one of these solutions work! I'll let you know.

I got my charge adapter in the mail and to my surprise it had a micro usb power input which they made no mention of in the ad. Turns out that it definitely needs the micro usb for power cause it still wouldn't power without it.

This This
is the one I got.
