I recently bought a Miracast, and tried to connect it to the a/v input in the center console.
Audio works fine, my phone connects to the Miracast, and streams the music to the radio.
Video is not working right now, i think it should work when the car is in park.
I have no idea what the problem is, hope someone could give me advice.
There are a lot of electronical mods on the car, all done by previous owner, so i have no idea what has been done on the wiring.
I think one of these mods has something to do with the video input not working.
There is a Valeo parking sensor system in the car, it is a 8 sensor system, and it knows when the car is in drive or in reverse, so something is connected there.
Also there is a very old aftermarked Alpine navigation system connected to the stock radio screen.
There is a small box onder the dash near the radio, it connects the Alpine to the stock screen, there is a switch mounted in the cupholder, when you use that the Alpine is projected on the screen.
One of these mods could be the cause of the problem.
I hope someone knows where to start, it would be great to have this working.
I know we are not allowed to talk about the video bypass (forum rule 23)
For some reason my brain wants you to try setting the parking brake and then try the video. For some reason I seem to remember reading it somewhere, but I can't remember where.

Parking brake did the trick, video works.
Next problem, no colors, it shows everything in black and white.
I tested the Miracast on my TV, using the same cables, and it works normal.
I hope it is a power problem, going to try a few other 12v to 5v usb converters, and maybe another rca cable just to be sure.
Glad the video displays now, normally B&W is due to incorrect cable hookups, but yours are only the red, white & yellow, you don't have the RGB cables for the video, so it's pretty much impossible to get wrong.
