Thumbs up 19' M45 Wheels on a 07' G35x

I know there were fitment issues on the earlier sedans. But I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they would work on a 07'.

From what I know, the factory wheel specs on a 06-07 m45 are 19x 8.5 and run a 40 series tire. I figured this would be a great combo for the X, since we can't run a staggered setup. The only problem I'm seeing is that they a 50mm offset. (Factory G35X are 17" x 7.5" +45mm)

I would really like to make this work, since it's a great looking wheel and there are some real deals to be found.

For those who are unfimilar with what I'm talking about, heres a link to the wheels:

Please let me know your opinions!

It's actually been done. You will need spacers.

Yeah, I know it's been done. I just was under the impression that the "ideal" offset for the 07' was different than the previous years. Therefore I wasn't sure if spacers would still be needed.

Otherwise if it's the same, I guess I have my answer.

The wheel fitment for previous G35 sedans and the 07 G35 sedan is the same.

I think the M45 wheels look great on the G.

So what is the ideal offset for 19 inch rims on the X?? From what I've read it is 40-45 on a 19x8.5.

I think the M45 19s are a great looking wheel. They would look sweet on the 07.
The offsets of the M45 rim are 50mm. The offset of the rear Sport 18" wheel is also 50mm. I think if you run a 10mm spacer in the front with the M45 wheel and no spacer in the back , it would be perfect.

Just to confirm, using a spacer on the G35x shouldn't affect the awd system then? All that matters, is that the wheels and tires are the same.

Thanks for the input!

I would run a spacer in the back too so they don't look so tucked in. If anything run a little larger spacer in the rear.

^ Topic has been discussed many times some just don't feel comfortable with putting spacers on their cars but hubcentric spacers and lug extension bolts on a stock wheel that's already 66.1 is the best route it'll cost you more for the hubcentric spacers though. Look for a quality brand and the best bet is to post in the main tech area for brands to get an idea from those that have used the hubcentric spacers for a long period of time.

I don't agree at all. There are no longer lips on the rear fender edges....so you can put more meat on the back without as much offset, or more total width with a higher offset.
