Cool, about the TMPS, that might be bull about them charging to recalibrate it.
I took mine off my stock 18's and put them on the coupe 19's, they work fine.

The light came on one day I thought it was a fluke but one tire was low. Filled it up and light went away.

But yea that is hott to death!!

Ordered some 245/45/19 today, they should look better.

If you look at that pic better, notice how there seems to be a diff in how thick the side walls are even thoe they are both 40 series. We will see how the 45 series looks.

What's the largest wheels and tires I can run on a 2007+ G35x?

I NEED to improve the handling to equal an S4 ASAP.

So I got the 245/45's on the front I think the 245/40's would have done the trick, cause the kuhmo's have a significant height difference than the potenza's even thou the are both 40 series (no one tells you that). The ride is very nice, and yes I know I need tint!

Looks great -- did you have to use spacers with them?

Nice choice on tires, those SPTs handle great, dry or wet (some autox'ers use them for wet events )

Did you have a chance to weigh the new set up against your stockers? I know the forged coupe wheels saved a few pounds, but tire/wheel combo?
What about noise levels?

On your original setup the sidewalls would have been bigger on the rears because they are staggered. 40s on a 245 have bigger sidewalls than 40s on a 225. Brand of tires shouldn't matter???

Looks good though...this tire definitely takes up a big chunk of that gap and keeps the stock look. Maybe bigger tires on the rear now? 255/45s?

How is the ride on the 245s on the front? Do they feel less responsive?

The ride is very good, it is just tad bit less responsive maybe not even enough to mention, feels very good at high speed.. I may switch front to back... to see how it feels.

I had spt's on a Lincoln LS i had before, I really like these tires. I haven't really noticed any difference in noise, so that should mean its low.

I paid $1200 and that included brand new TR1s for mine...just takes patience and finding the right deal. I wanted to stay with some sort of OEM wheel, but I agree that you can get more for your money with aftermarket.
