Just wanted to know how many other people have put 19" coupe wheels on their 07 sedans. I will have mine soon, I wanted know has most peopel been staying with the same tire size as the factory specs 225/40 frt 245/40 rear. I thought about going with maybe a 35 profile, would there be a down side to this. I also just placed an order for the Stillen Dual intake.

What sold me on the 19 coupe wheels was a pic I saw in the g35driver gallery under sedans. It's a white 06 or below sedan with 19" coupe wheels on it, dame it was sweet!!

 

No one's done it yet, but there's a few photoshops going around. Looks good. WHen you get yours, post some pics.

FYI, the F tires are 225-45-19. Please do not go to 35 series tires front or rear. It will make the already huge G35 wheel well look even bigger and make your car look like a 4x4. It will also throw off the rolling diameter from stock and your rims will be more susceptible to damage.

Once you've burned thru the stock tires, 245-40-19s up front and 275-35-19s in the rear would work.

 

I bet he is talking about the G35 coupe wheels. I think they do come with 225-40 up front.

 

I have seen guys with 19 M wheels on their 07 G sedans that looked fine without a drop. Any chance when I get these 19 coupe wheels I could have the same result? I would really prefer not to drop if I don't have to.

 

Your talkin' about the 06 coupe, right? not the G37?

I went down to the dealer and drove an auto G37, nice car, I liked the new 19's better than the old ones, they were visually bigger and made a more bold impression. To me, the old coupe wheels, although they're 19", they look more like 17-18" wheels, due to spoke design. The new 19's and brakes look and perform better than the old combo, IMO.
Hopefully I can get a set of take-off wheels from the g37's, they had ten delivered today.

 

The coupe 19's would look good but the tires are a bit small if the car is not lowered.

 

But, what are the difference in weights betw the 19" M wheels vs the Coupe's which are forged by Rays?

 

I am back home now from a long work trip, so I decided to throw up the the front wheels and tires aganist tghe car to see how they would look. I guess you have to use your imaganation but from what I see there is no way this is not going to look hella sweet

I don't doubt they are going to look sweet, I'm right there wtih you thinking this will be a sick look. I'm just interested on what will need to be done to make them sit in there right, rubbing, etc. What tire sizes are you going with?

 

So I decided to do a test fit of the fronts that I already
have monuted. These wheels are 8.0 225/40/19 on the front and rear.

I may need to go with 45's on the front instead of the 40's to fit the
wheels wells better.

 

Yeah rims look great on the car...but I agree that there is a bit too big of a gap. Are you thinking about dropping it?

Take a picture in the daylight of a full side profile. Its kind of hard to see what it truly looks like on all the pictures but the last one and its a closeup. I'd be interested to see a clean full car picture in good light.

 

Doing some research and there seems to be a good selection in 245/45/19. I would rather not drop just because I have never done it before and possiable tire wear issues. If going with 45 profile gets me back to looking like the stock wheel gap I would be happy. Other wise I would have to drop it.

And btw I don't see how there would be any rubbing issues there seems to be plenty of room, although i did not drive the car like this.

 

You absolutely need to drop it. The gap is hideous.

 

I am not sure what effect having the wheels on one side had on the wheel gap side that you do see. I hope it didn't make that side look higher, keep in mind I am going for stock wheel gap look.

I am going to buy 45 profiles for the front, what you see here is 40's. I figure a inch taller wheel and going from a 50 to 45 profile should get me back to a stock space. I don't know if there is a way to calculate this?

 

If anything you should be taking up more of the gap than stock with that 45 setup I would imagine. I'm very interested to see pics. I can't decide between these wheels and the M45 Sport wheels. There are a few pics of those going around without a drop and 40 series tires, and they look good so I'm thinking the gap on yours should be good when its all said and done.
