He's asking about putting 19" on front and 20" on back. Like the Corvette's- 17's on front and 18's on Back. I have not seen it yet. No reason it won't work if you like the look.

Post some pic's!

Sure it can be done since the overall diameter of the wheel and tire are not suppose to change. I had 20" in the back and 18" in the front for a while recently. There was no noticeable change in the way the car feels under normal driving conditions.

Only those that are into wheels even noticed the difference while I had this combination on.

well i think id try to keep the same diameter (thicker sidewalls on the 19's) but i donno. it was just a thought. i cant afford wheels right now.

I don't think it would look good. The G35 uses pretty tall tires. Therefore, if you went with 19s up front, you're sidewall would be noticeably thicker than the sidewall for your 20s in the rear.

If you wanted the raked look, you would need to run a shorter profile on the 19" rim up front. This would look bad too as the G35 has fairly large wheel wells and the wheel well gap would look huge.

But the problem is, a drop won't take care of the different sidewall sizes. The front tire would still look too beefy compared to the rear.

If you go with a shorter profile front tire, even w/ a drop, there would still be more wheel well gap due to running a shorter profile tire. You would have to drop the front even more which would make the car REALLY rake forward (combination of shorter tire + more aggressive lowering in the front to get rid of the wheel well gap).
