Winter Tires That Will Fit Factory S Rims

I ordered the 225/50/18s that tire rack has under winter tires. I wanted to order the recommended setup with 245s in the back. When you click the link on tirerack it says no tires are available. Leaving people with the only option to buy an entire new set of rims and tires for the winter. Well tirerack just called me and said that the 225s wont fit and i need to order new tires and rims. I talked to the guy and he searched his computer for the 245s in a winter tire that will fit the g35 sport. To my suprise they do have the 245s in stock. they just are not on the computer, so anyone who is looking to get tires for their stock 07 sport rims... tirerack has them you just need to call. Also before everyone starts to say that 18s are to big for the winter, and 245s wont cut into the snow as well, i already know. I dont plan on driving the car in huge snow storms, so ill be ok. I just wanted to inform everyone that tirerack does have the 245s in a winter tire even though the website says they dont

Do you think 245/50/18 will fit? I found a great deal on a set.

That's going to be very wide on the narrow front wheels.

Try using this to get a better idea of what might work ok:

I got a set of Blizzak's from Tirerack in the exact same size as stock. 225's and 245's. They look perfect.

I was planning on purchasing an 08 Journey with Sport and get the Journey 17s all around with A/S to replace the staggered setup in order to rotate. Could I get the 235/50/18 all around so that I can rotate without messing up anything else? Is there enough clearance in the front?

If you're serious about snow traction, get 225's all around. The narrow tire will have more traction in the snow than the wider one. The wider tire floats a little more, while the narrow tire has more weight on a smaller area. I know it's minimal, but I noticed a difference on my 05 coupe, one year I had 245s in the rear, the second year I had the same tire but went 225 in the rear under a recommendation from a friend. He was right.

Hope that helps you decide.

LM25's I assume? Do you get like "extra" tire noise around 60-80mph?

+1 for blizzacks, quiet, decent grip, and tug like mad in the snow...especially with LSD.
