Considering getting winter tires for G35S

I would go with winter rims, too, but don't want to spend much.

Has anyone found good winter tires and steel wheels for an '07 Sport?

I don't care what the wheels look like.

it seems that $1200 is what it's going to cost without the TPMS sensors. and extra $350-400 for the sensors. That's about as good as your going to get unless you put on steel rims (I'd love to see a G in steel !! ) even then you'll only save $200.

There are very few options for 2007 G drivers when it comes to snow tires.

Check the Marketplace here on Driver. There is always lots of great deals on winter setups.

Agreed. I got some 03-04 g35 17" sedan sport wheels here. Threw some winter tires on them and viola. total was like six hundred and change. I have to say the wheels look much better on the 07 than I thought it would.

At Tirerack they have several winter tires for the Sport. But you'll need to go to a non staggered set up" 18" or 17" 225s all around. The Blizzak 22s or 25s are on some sports. Others like the Dunlop M3s.

Pay attention to the wheel offsets. I've heard several caveats. But in general it appears that you should look for offsets at between 40-44mm

Try the Tirerack website to view their options.

And yes, 17s will fit (barely, but they do) on the large Sport brakes.

I'm sticking with the staggered set up and going with Goodyear ultra high performance all seasons for now.

If I get into trouble in snow or ice, then I plan to go to the Dunlp M3s (more versatile than the Blizzaks).

check your local discount tire shop. (either an actual "Discount Tire Co." store, or some other local store). Sometimes they have cheap rims. I paid $300 for my rims, and another 148/tire for 225/55/17 H-rated Pilot Alpin PA2s.
