Has anyone fit different size tires on Stock S 18's?

I need to get new tires, but I don't like the stock Potenza's. I can get Falkens for the rear, but the only size 225/50/18 is the Potenza RE050's.

Im wondering if you can go 235 or 215? Has anyone done it? How is the ride, steering, traction?

There's an all season sire in the factory size. It had a 420 tread rating and was y speed rated.

Had a good review.

Agreed on the Eagle F1 AS, but why not 255/45 on the back? It would seem to protect the 8.5" wheel better, the 245s look 'stretched' over the wider back wheels, and the revs/mile seem to be a close fit to the fronts.

Has anyone tried either brand 255/45 on the back of a G35S?

I have those. 235/50/18 front and 255/45/18 rear on Toyo T1R.
They are a bargain in price but they are never like the 050A. On wet they feel better but in response the 050A are awesome. I was looking for Falken FK452 but they dont come on 235/50 for front.

I just got the Falken FK452's 225/45/18 and 245/45/18... I'm pretty happy with them so far, nice ride, quiet, plenty of grip... the stock tire sizes just really limit your choices

Anyone try the Nankang? Looks like a bargain for a summer tire
About $330 for the 225/45/18 245/45/18 set

For you guys who have downsized in the front to 225/45, have you had any trouble with the VDC/Traction Control? Any other issues?

I'm thinking BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2's in 235/50-18 front and 255/45-18 rear. They also make Pirelli PZero Rosso's in the same sizes.

Any thoughts?? Looking for high performance summer only tires.

Go 235.

When the stock tires wear out I think I'll get 225 like stock or 235 front, and 255 rear. The stock 245 looks narrow on the rim, slight donut effect...

Just put on BFG G-Force Supersport A/S, 245/45/18 front and 255/45/18 rear, they work fine. Roads havent been dry and are still covered w/sand and salt so I havent had a chance to tear into the corners, but they ride smooth and quiet.
