Thanks for the pics. I was looking at the 225 50 18s on the 7.5 front rims today and they also bulge out more than the rear 245-45-18s do on the 8.5 rear rims. The rears as your pics indicate are almost flush while the fronts bulge out a little.

Your front pic with the halo box next to it makes the bulge look huge, I wonder if it is not quite as dramatic when looking at it from a distance.

I run 245/45/18 on 18x7.5 rims on my '08 G35x. It's fine.

ur right. Its not dramatic at all. Also drfferent tires will have different looks. My 245/45 snows look like they fit the 8.5 rims better then my 245/45 summer tires. My summers look a little small on the back. as mbonus said.

U will have no regrets with 245/45 on all 4's

Sweet. Thanks for the info guys.

I am still second guessing this setup because of the possible performance drop off suggested by Timn99.

there is only about half an inch difference but i can notice it when i walk up to the car
the tires are Hankook icebear w300's, and they are amazing in the snow

Any chance of getting some pics from a little bit farther out. It would be nice to see some pics with both wheels in the shot just to be able to tell the difference. Thanks in advance.

I would rather find a set of stock 8.5 rear take-offs incl. tires and use them at the front. Not sure about clearance issues but can now rotate front and rear. Anyone want to sell their rear set for my fronts??

You can also just run 225/45/18s on the front and 245/45/18s on the rear, you'll find plenty of tires to choose from in that combo

I actually 1-up'ed the tire size to find more selection too. Running a 235/45/18 up front on the 18x7.5" rim, and 255/45/18 on the 18x8.5" rim.

Keeps the ratio between them very similiar and got ride of that "stretched" look that the rears had. I went the Michelin MXM4 route. Great tire, and double the treadwear of the factory RE050 tires.

Anyone with pics of the factory Sport 07-08 18x8.5 on all corners of the sedan? Spacers req'd or other fitment issues?

Guys, I think I should ask here: if I use FX35 rims (they seem to be 8" wide) with 245/45/18 tyres, can I use 225/50/18 size of tyres? I have G35x '07.

The 225/50/18 would work on the FX rims.
I believe the FX rims are 50mm offset so they would look a bit better with spacers.
