Work wheels TPMS solution?

Hi Everyone,

I just bought a pair of Sevas S-22s (still new in the box) and I started looking at the pictures of the Work Varient TS1s.

So I'm thinking of springing for the Work wheels and selling my Sevas.

Anyways, when I was speaking with the wheel guy he informed me that my stock TPMS wouldn't be compatible with the Work wheel and he would have to "drill another hole."

Does anyone know if there is another solution that will work?

Will this solution from iForged work?

http://www.iforged.com/press/may25/may25.php

Thanks in advance!

Yup, you need to drill the hole.

I have the T1S and didn't bother doing it so my TPMS are still in the older wheels. LOL

According to Rick at Ravspec, Work has a set of TPMS adapters that are guaranteed to fit and work with our G35 tire systems. I bought a set from him for 100.00 but am still waiting on the wheels to come in so I cant confirm this for sure. You might give them a call, they seem to be real good guys and sell their products at a fair price. I was going to get mine drilled at 1st like TerryCS and his DPE's but after talking to them, I decided to try the adapters.

I'm curious to see that the adapters do and what they look like.

Does this all mean that I won't have to drill holes on my beautiful T1S?!?!?!

There's also the banding option where the TPMS sensor is strapped to the middle of the rim with a steel band that runs around the rim. This won't require any drilling, but the downside is, it's heavier and there are situations where the sensor has come off the metal band when not correctly installed.

Thanks guys for the feedback. I received an email back from Daniel at ModCity and he says the iForged adapters will work for the Work wheels. I think this is a great option instead of drilling an additional hole or banding the wheels.

Here is what they look like:

He said $75 shipped.

Link

At first $75 seems like a lot, but thinking about it, that isn't much when your rims cost over $2k.

Pretty clever! Looks like it should work great for those with the valve hole drilled in the "right" place and as long as the lip cross section has the clearance because the tire bead will still have to clear it.

I also found these. They're also from iForged but they're set at a 90 degree angle. This might help if the stem hole is in a tough to get to spot.

Pretty cool.
