Tire Pressure Sensor

Anyone else having issues with theirs? Mine have been reset once already. Seems like they are overly sensitive and once you pressure goes below the threshold, even if you fill your tires back up, the light never turns off.

TPS....they work!

Your tires shouldn't be losing pressure! Is it possible the issue is with your
tires and not the TPS? They're just letting you know what's going on with
your tires. Run 35 to 37 PSI in your tires and see how long it takes for the
TPS to come on. Mine doesn't change 1 LB in 90 days with my Michelins.

I have a slow leak on one of my tires. The light usually goes off once i put more air in and drive it pass 25mph... The sensor works like a charm in my car...

The TPMS kicks in at 16 mph.
My G is a year old now and all 4 are still sitting at 37 psi.
I haven't had to add any air yet ... Not bad.

Yeah I've done that, inflated them up, drove for a bit over the 15mph limit and nada.

Brought it to the dealer, they did the same thing, and nada. They had to electronically reset them.

Guess I may have some bad sensors.

I just had mine swapped to my new wheels on saturday and the light has not come on yet. I thought when swapping, they needed a recalibration at the dealer but no light has shown. Makes me wonder if they are even working

Why don't you deflate it to about 24psi, and drive it around the block and see... For me right when i hit 25mph the lights either shows or disappear... The manual says it kicks in at 16mph.. Give that a try for peace of mind..

Think ill pass on the deflate for now. I have been looking at them carefully when I get in and out of the car, paranoid I guess. They were actually looking good and shiny until all the rain today

Any source for replacement? It's in the stem, and it broke along with the stem -- the dealer wants $195 to replace it.

I seriously want to cut the wire in the dash.

This is the worst TPMS i have ever seen. It serves no useful purpose. If the light comes on, what does that mean? which tire is flat?

Worse next to no TPMS. Although having one that noted each tire and the exact pressure would be nice, it is not bad as is for a car with all these goodies at the price point it is at. My previous BMW which was twice the price had the same functionality as this one.

My car is three months old. All tires are at 33 psi and the light is on!

Any way of turning it off except going to the dealer?

I had to take mine in last week to be reset. It kept coming on even though my tires were no less than 32psi during the last of the cold mornings. It wouldn't reset normally so the dealer had to reset it. I've had problems for the last 6 months.

I had a TPMS go bad in mine, same thing - light came on, wouldn't reset. Dealer replaced it (apparently they can tell which one), haven't had a problem since.

Amusingly, they tried to tell me the green metal valve caps (came with the car, to denote Nitrogen in the tires - I kinda like them) were causing the problem. After I expressed some mild skepticism, they stopped
