Anyone having a problem with a squeaking sound in the rear brakes when applied? I notified after 17K.

Replaced mine at 5500 miles. Two weekends at Texas World Speedway, and they were down to absolutely nothing, front and back.

Yep. me.

Dealer said it's "normal" and "any car can have squeaky brakes."

I didn't feel like fighting with them. Pads aren't covered under warranty anyways.

i noticed mine squeaking the other day.

20k...mostly interstate miles.

i was about to have them checked...but sounds like i should be good to go.

why do they squeak under light breaking?

Couple track days here and some spirited driving... mine are starting to do the 'squeal' thing at 10k miles. It's very light though. I need to have my windows down and the noise bounce off a wall or car next to me.

i pulled off each caliper and broke it down to clean them up real good and all my pads still had 75% left....at 25000miles.

my 02 sentra ser was driver very hard and the pads lasted to 50000 just fine. only reason i replaced was to get more bite(metallic).

Mine squeak a bit too under light braking, and it goes away when the brakes bite a bit more. It has come and gone over time, currently back - can't say I'm too worried about it.

I have 13,000km on my car and my steering wheel shakes/judders when I come to a stop. Can it be due to my 80% of city driving for a year?

18k.... same problem... moderate brake force = squeal... hard or soft = no squeal... not sure what the issue is... at 15k checkup I had plenty of brake pad left.
