GT-R wheels!

so i dont know why i havent thought of this yet, but i would loveeeee to get the nissan gt-r wheels...my biggest concern would be fitment..i dont know the bolt pattern or offset or any of that stuff...all i know is they are 20x9.5 in the front and 20x10.5 in the rear...i have a 2007 g35s...does anybody know if they will fit?...and how much they would cost roughly?...im sure they'll be a fortune but first i want to know if its possible to run them without having to worry too much about maintenance and curbing and bulging and all that headache...

people can't even get their hands on the damn car, so the wheels are definitely out of reach.
Another big issue is, the ECU on the GTR won't comply with after market wheels and even big name shops in Japan still haven't figured out how to swap to AM wheels without warning lights going off on the dashboard. So it'll be while before people with GTR's start swapping to AM wheels, which means they won't be selling their stock ones.... which means there will be none on the market, unless you wanna pay 5 g's at the dealership... and oh yea...

...

jus kiddin, they're nice wheels though, but not gonna happen dude, lol

ahh i duno, iv seen a picture or 2 of gt-r's with aftermarket wheels, i dont think it will be TOO hard to find them...and sorry for the ... lol, its just a habit of typing 3 periods instead of ending the sentence with a period and space...whatever...i THINK the offsets are +45 in the front and +25 in the back...honestly i dont even know what that means, i dont understand offsets, but will that be okay on our car? and if anyone can get more info on these wheels, shoot it this way

Sorry, didn't think I'd start this crazy trend... but when I initially replied to your thread, I didn't type "..." because you typed "..." throughout your passage. It's because that's just a ridiculous thing to ask. Like Adon said, the car's not even released, so what are the chances of you even getting your hands on one? If/When you do get your hands on the GT-R rims, feel free to start a new thread titled "FlSHRFun IS A RETARD! I GOT GT-R RIMS!"

i dont know much about sedan offsets so I wont comment on that. But yea I've seen GTR's with after market wheels on as well. But stationary, meaning they ride on stock wheels, put the car in the booth in position then take the stock wheels off and put on AM wheels just for the photo shoot.
Mine's is the closest company so far that's come to messing with the electronics of the GTR. Nissan made it pretty hard this time around, it's not like the R34 GTR where 5 grand will get you 500whp. They really fine tuned it to the point where they don't want anyone else messing with it.

sure it's great and all, but really, just buy some aftermarket rims, forged, jdm, size/width/offsets to your choosing will be a lot, A LOT less than what they'll charge for the GTR's

i do love the 350z forged rims. not the nizmo z ones, the ones just below them. well theyre the same rims except the nizmo rims say nizmo on them and theyre gunmetal gray. i want the regular ones that dont say nizmo on them. 18x9.0 front, 19x10 rear, but i think running 19s in the back and 18s in the front would be a little wild, i duno if i wana do that, then again i hafta see a pic. does anyone have any pics of the 2nd gen sedan with those wheels? or even the 1st gen sedan would be good enough, just to get an idea of how 19s in the back and 18s in the front look on a sedan

btw im trying to find a lightweight wheel, thats forged and has all the aftermarket lightweight goodies, but doesnt actually LOOK aftermarket..i want the OEM look with the aftermarket weight lol..something different that looks great that can carry infiniti center caps and a staggered setup is prefferred...if these 350z wheels were 19s all around i think they would be the definite wheel for me, but now im not sure, pics needed PLEASEEE!

you have a slim to-non shot with GT-R rims. The car is barely even out for dealers to have spare rims lying around. Plus even if you can get a hold of them...you are looking at a REALLY hefty price tag...which honestly isnt worth paying. sometimes you'd get lucky finding replicas

Ive seen some people rocking 20's, but had to make some adjustments so that it doesnt rub against the inner fender or fender well. plus the ride is uncomfortable and will hurt when you hit bumps

go for 19's. dont worry so much about weight unless you are planning to turn it into a drag racer. the 350Z rims look good.

They should fit, my wheels are also 20x9.5 and 20x10.5 as well.

But I myself would get aftermarket wheels for what they'll probably charge you.

sup man... i work at nissan in hawaii and am the only authorized seller of the GT-R at our dealership. Hell yes the car alone is hard to get a hold of. we have 7 coming in and all are pre-sold. the rims alone would probably run you over 5000. and they run on run-flat tires, so thats gonna cost you more too. in my opinion i would just buy some nice aftermarket ones
