Now my Front stillen sway doesnt fit?

for the 08 g35x. Its too wide and the oem bushings are too big. In my rear they sent me the g37 sway bc its way thicker then the oem one and i had to dremel out the bushings to make it fit. Now the front doesnt fit.

so now im thinking that stillen sent me the g37 front and rear sway?

Rear

Just a question. Is the X the same as the S or Journey when it comes to sway bars? I'll bet it's different. Confirm they make a setup for the X. Maybe the sales person did not ask enough question, or simply did not know. Considering it is AWD some parts are not simply plug and play with other G sedan model parts. Or maybe they sent you g37 parts

i got them from intense which is where i buy all my parts from for the g35 and they confirmed with stillen that the front and rear fit.

could you do me a favor.. measure both the stillen bar and your stock bar from end to end and get the overall length. i'm thinking i may have the sedan front on my g37 coupe, because it's actually shorter than my oem bar. i'll compare your measurement to my bars when i get my car back (hopefully this week)

but i'm going to guess that bar is probably for the non x and either they don't have a front bar for the x or they sent one for a non x

I bought a camber kit from Stillen and they sold me some redundant parts I did not need. They finally gave me a refund after a battle. These guys are not always the most educated when it comes to cars when you'd expect them to be the expert. I'd have to guess your front bar, at least is for another model, possibly g37 since the unibodies are probably the same from X to the S. Whether the rear is differnet or not, I'd think at least the front would fit if they sent you 07+ sedan parts. They sent you the wrong parts. I'd give them a call.

the length on the stillen bar is 45". the oem one i gotta get back underneath the car, i dont know if ill be able to until the weekend.

ill call intense or stillen later today. they will probably give me some crap bc i think its been a couple months since i had these parts i just havent had time to put them on yet.

i always thought that the front didnt fit on the x versions but after talkign to the rep that i buy all my parts fro he said that stillen said it would fit on the x model.

yea your rear is definitely g37.. the g37 rear is 25mm, sedan rear is more like 22mm

wonder if someone with a non x sedan would be willing to measure their stock front

will hopefully have my car back tomorrow. if so i'll measure my stillen front.

judging by the picture you posted though, even my stillen front would probably be too long for your car

I would like fatter sway bars on my car. I could definitely tell a difference when I put on the Stillen sways... but I still think there's more on the table with better sways.

H&R says their sedan front is 36mm and their rear is 23mm. but, it says their on special order. I may see what kind of availability there is.

been searching everywhere for the front diameter of the Stillen bar and can't find it. It can't be much over stock, if any over, due to using the same bushing and I don't remember the bushing having trouble getting around the bar...

I just checked on availability for the front H&R and tomorrow I'll measure the front Stillen on my car. If the H&R is much bigger and available, I'm going to swap it out I think.

What's the stock front diameter?

i didnt measure the stock front diameter but the one they sent me (g37?) was a couple mm less then the oem one bc the bushing had a little space left once i put the stillen on.

as for the h&r one ive read its thicker but i believe its made out of a different material? im not positive so thicker might not be better in this case.

not sure about the materials. everything else equal, thicker would be better. now, if it's made out of lower quality materials, i don't know, however, I'd have a hard time believing H&R is going to use inferior quality compared to Stillen, especially considering their the suspension company, not stillen. Stillen just confirmed theirs is roughly (couldn't tell me exactly) 26mm, so that means the H&R would be roughly 10mm thicker which is just over 3/8" thicker.

EDIT: I wanted to add that both the H&R bars (front and rear) are adjustable and I ordered them both! I'll be selling my Stillen sways very soon.
