Rims For Spring

hey everybody, Was deciding on rims so i can start saving up for this upcomming spring.

Size: 18x8, 48mm Offset
• Price: $348 (each)
• Weight: 18.4lbs.
• Finish: Black Painted
• Bolt Pattern: 5-114
• Construction: 1pc. Low Pressure Cast/Shot Peened

OZ Ultraleggera___

1st question.. is 48 mm offset too much?

Another thing. i have a X so the height is alittle different than g35 journey or sport. tirerack recommends that i get 225/50-18 Is this correct?? i dont want my car to have a 4x4 look. can someone help me out?

I also want to get diff. rims and tires in the future... All they are saying, or trying to sell you is the stock size, tire and wheel.. meaning the sport pkge. on the X. I don't know anything about offsets however, your prolly gonna want to lower the car somewhat, for some reasons,, Infiniti's X cars ride a bit higher than the 2wd cars,, unlike Audi, where you can have am S4 that looks like its 2wd, its so low,, and its still Quattro... At least our cars don't look like a Chrysler 300 awd, or magnum,, they look like they are reaching for the sky!!!!

What they are recommending will fit, but IMO, it's WAY too conservative.

I would recommend 18x8.5 or 9 at all 4 corners. If you're not lowering the car, go with an offset of about +35 to +40. If you plan on lowering the car, go with the same width, but go with about a +30 offset.

For tires, go with 245-45-18.

But, really, if you're going to upgrade your rims, why stick w/ 18s? These forged Nismo rims in this recent thread are cheap, high quality 19s with the correct offset. Just pair them with 245-40-19s and you're good to go:

^ agree 100%

get 19s (like me) on the X,
I have 245-40-19 on 19x8.0"x+40 offset is perfect.
Then drop it like it's hawwt on some eibach pro's. YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

doesnt dropping an X kinda de-glorify the AWD system? plus i dont want to drop my car cause in 3-4 years the shocks will be dead.
