Results of Eibach Pro kit drop WITHOUT camber kit

I had my 08 G35S dropped on Eibachs and aligned without a camber kit. I've seen lots of debate on the G35 and G37 boards on if a camber kit was necessary for these springs, so here are the numbers to help you decide. I'm sure some of you could live with the results, but I decided to go ahead and order a kit.

Not bad actually...anything under 2* I think is workable. I got 15K out of my T1Rs with -1.9* all the way around. Now post pics of the drop!!!

How soon after the install did you have it aligned? Did you wait for the springs to settle?

This was done as soon as the springs were put on. The place I had it done at thought they could get it in spec without a camber kit, and agreed to align it for free if it had to be redone after the camber kit was installed. Since there had been questions about these springs without the camber kit I figured I had nothing to lose.

I would have them check the fronts again after the camber kit is done though...just to be sure.

For me, my X was nothing too terrible and just inside spec.

Personally, I waited a week before going for an alignment and the rear settled alot.

About 2000+kms on them so far without any unusual or noticable tire wear.

I'm still waiting on tires for my rims, so I figure I'll let it sit two weeks or so before I install the kit and have it re-aligned. I figure the fronts will change some, but not too much. I'll post up the numbers after the second alignment

This puzzles me, because as far as I know (on 03' to 06' sedans) there is only ONE adjustment, "Toe-in". Are the 08's different?

You are correct... Toe only on the front.
Front camber is what it is. (w/o camber kit)

-2 or less and you're fine. i don't see any reason to kit it down to anything less than -1deg unless you do all of your driving in a straight line.

also, toe-out in the rear? whyyyy? that'll wear out your tires far worse than any camber issues, and cause the car to be more tail-happy. zero that out all around and be done.

Again.....this was WITHOUT a camber kit, so there was only so much they could adjust.

I just had it re-aligned after installing the camber kit, and it's much better now. I'm having to run -2.2 camber in the rear to tuck my tires in the fender, but the toe is zeroed out now. I misplaced the sheet, so I'll try to get another copy from the shop to post up.

I can say that I was wrong about the alignment changing much after the springs settled. The rears changed 3-4 10ths in camber and slightly in toe. So I would definitely wait at least a week or two before getting it aligned.

Which shop did you use? Are their rates reasonable?

Thanks.
