I'll be interested to see if the G37x sedan and coupe peeps have similar experiences... either way, it's an interesting brake feel.

So I was at the dealer the other day getting my climate control fixed, and I had them look at the brakes... They wound up resurfacing the front rotors due to hot spots....unfortunately, this did not help...still feel the same thing..also, the loaner was a G35x, and had the same feel as well...although not as much. Anyone know how bad it is that they resurfaced my rotors...I know its not a great thing...how much life did I lose on them? I am a little annoyed that they cut away at my rotors and it didnt even fix the problem.

Same thing I've experience myself lately. We'll have to get used to it.

i recently started feeling this maybe for 3 weeks or so.
pulsation + steering wheel shake,
but it mostly happens when going downhill at about 70kmh(approx 43mph?)
anyway i think its brakes warped...
I also hear a cycling hoovering/whirring sound when i coast at like 90km/h? is this related?
milage is at 10000km (about 6000miles)
is this warranted?

Are you on the brakes when you feel the vibration? If you aren't then it isn't the brakes. You could have thrown a balance weight from one of the front wheels. I say one of the front wheels because if it were the back, then the steering wheel would not shake.

I have 1,800 miles on my '09 G37x, and I feel the "crunchy" brake, too. Kind of disquieting because that has always meant brake wear = trouble. I have asked a couple of service guys and they have all told me that it is intentional. "A part of feeling the drive."

I hope they're correct.

i hate that feeling. Thankfully it only appears right after a carwash or super super freezing weather. Sometimes in the rain...but only if i've already driven the car hard for 30min+ and then it all of a sudden start pouring.

It's strange.. i get in my 2004 TL with 90,000 miles and the brakes are silky smooth all the time .. then my wife's brand new G .. "crunchy" brakes... LOL

This really seems like an X problem to me from looking at the posts. Anyone here not driving an X feel this too?

I am not sure if I am buying "part of the drive feel".

As mentioned previously, our 2006 G35x does not do this at all -- silky smooth brakes.
