I never tried the 235's on my G 35's. My 08 came with the GY RSA's and somehow they lasted 60K miles. I put the Yokohama Advan S4 with the W rating. They are awesome.

I am looking for something that will hold up in the winter here in missouri but is also quiet and comfortable. Grib and anything sporty is not a neccesity for me just a nice smooth ride with good tread life. Apperance comes 2nd. Im not trying to race around and autox my G. Any suggestions?

new tires

CremonaG35,
The Yoko's do not have the best snow rating. Tire Rack is the best source for determining the ratings you require.

I agree regarding Goodyear RS-A's being terrible in wet and icy conditions. Despite this, I chose another Goodyear tire, Eagle GT, to replace the RS-A's mainly because of price/performance thing. I live in NY (downstate) so we do get a moderate amount of snow here most of the time, and significant amount some of the time. Eagle GT's did much better in wet weather and were OK (but not great by any means) in the snow. Can't recommend them because they wear quickly and are pretty noisy in day-to-day driving - IMO you get what you pay for. Suggest spending a little more and buying Michelin PS/2's - that's my plan this winter if you are planning to stay stock tire size like I am. I considered Yokos as well, but would rather pay a little more and get the best.
