Low Tire Pressure in Passenger Rear Tire

Hey guys, I noticed my tire pressure light came on in the instrument panel and didn't get around to taking care of it until a few hours ago...all the tires were fine except my rear passenger tire, it was at 12psi!!!!!!! i checked for possible gashes or holes, but nothing!...it just got really warm here but i didn't think that was gonna take 20psi out of my rear right tire...i'll give an update if there is something wrong with the tire, but i don't think that's the case...

You should double check and see if there's anything stuck in the tire.
I had the same problem last year and I checked for holes and gashes but found nothing so I just filled up and left it. About an hour later I was driving and the light came on again, took it to a shop and they found a big nail deep in (it was basically flush with the inside thread of the tire) so I had to replace it.

May as well check it out properly for your own safety.

While your waiting for the wheels....
If its a nail hole, it can be plugged/patched temporarily if it's not near the sidewall.

No problem bro

Ian's right. Sadly I wasn't so fortunate and the puncture was right where the sidewall and tread meet (the tire place was baffled how it made such a deep hole in that spot (but of course this is Dubai where everywhere you turn there's a construction site lol

Good luck with it Paul

Make sure you air it up in the morning - tires with really low pressure tend to do bad things...

Anytime bro, just be safe and drive it slow cause if it's near the sidewall the tire could give out at higher speeds.
Post pics if you decide to throw on your wheels too

WHeel lock?
I don't recall where it is when delivered.

But, FWIW..... I cut a hole for it in the plastic tool tray in the trunk.
It's with the wheel wrench etc when/if it's needed, & I don't have to remember where the hell it is.

boss81 is right, it should be in one of those places

If you have to replace the tire without the new wheels then just try and get a hold of a used tire or something for cheap and use it temporarily till your wheels get in and then just throw them on with a brand new set of tires.

If the tire you get has more thread than the other tires then you'll feel a bit of vibration but it'll be ok since it'll be for a short period of time anyways.

Good luck with it Paul.
