You wouldn't have to lengthen the studs at all. I'm sure you be just fine. I'll be doing this mod as well and I did a lot of research.

The distance measured was on a G37s coupe wasn't it?
Which is like 2-300 pounds heavier, that probably explains the distance being longer lol

These brakes are heavier than the OEM 14 on the G35S, but I'm sure there wont be a difference. Almost all BBKs are really heavy, or else they wouldn't have all that power to stop.
NOT TRUE..... ^ That is a very dangerous statement to make!!!!
You DEFINITELY need new studs with 15mm spacers.

There are specs on thread engagement.
Rule of thumb.... there should be 7-8 FULL 360° turns of thread engaged.

FYI, Rick wasn't even sure that it was a 15mm spacer, he was "guesstimating" at that size.

AFAIK, I don't think anyone has done this with the 18" sport rims yet.

Re: the spacers, just get the ones with the built-in studs. So convenient. ~$100 a pair.

Are those considered as "safe" as studs attached directly to the hubs?

I would think so. Many many many ppl, including me, have used them with no probs. Bolt the spacer onto the hub, then bolt your wheel onto the spacer. Voila! You're done!

Ya, I've seen them before on other brands of car but didn't know how reliable/safe they were.

I wonder how much (if any) the rim would stick out w/a 15mm spacer.

It would make it look nice actually. It will still be tucked in the wheel well, it wont stick out. If you drop the car, you might need 20-25mm spacers to make it look flush but thats all on all 4 wheels. Thats if you want the car to look good and aggressive.

No has done it yet. I think it will work if the car is dropped with 25-30mm spacers. But 30mm is already pushing it.

Rotora is making 2 pc rotors for the Akebonos now? Link?

Another thing to consider is this Akebono kit will have 2 pc rotor option (lighter) before the 13" oem brakes will.

Another option is what do you do when winter comes. Running BBK clearing wheels in the summer is fine but come winter, you'll need to buy yourself some OEM 19"s if your stock oem 18s won't work.
