Widest 20" rim for our sedans???

Whats the widest setup we can run for our sedans? So far, the widest I've seen has been 07IMLG, running 20x9 38mm offset 245/35/20, 20x10.5 45mm offset 275/30/20. Is it possible to run coupe setups like 11" rears and low offsets?

11 is going to be really hard to run. You need like -3 0r -3.5 camber to run 11s

Damn that really sucks....I keep seeing all these dope a$$ deals in the marketplace for rims, but they're mostly for coupes. Ok, here's another question....If I were to run a similar setup as 07IMLG, but for tires run 255/35/20 F and 285/30/20, would there be any issue as far as rubbing? I actually went to Discount Tire and they recommended running 255's in the front, but I know if you run the wrong tire size it could throw off ur speedometer.

I'd say 9.5 front and 10.5 rear would be the widest you can go without running too much negative camber and having to stretch.

If you run 255/35 and 285/30 on 9 and 10.5 inch rims you would probably rub without dialing in lots of negative camber. Running such wide tires on a car and dialing in lots of negative camber would be pointless since you'd have less contact patch anyways.
But those sizes wouldn't throw your speedo off much at all. You wouldn't even be able to tell the difference.

Could be wrong though. GP would have to comment on this.

285 on a 10" wheel is no problem with camber in spec, but the offset has to be perfect. You can do more, but it will take some compromises.

Yeah but he's talking about 20x10.5 Terry,
I think he'd need to dial in a fair amount of negative camber. At least -1.5 without going with an extremely conservative offset.
BTW where have you been? Haven't seen you post...how's the car holding up?

Yes .. camber or tire stretch would be needed. BLUESLATE has 10.5 on his car now. I'm ALWAYS around.

Thanks for the advice guys. I was hoping to take what 07IMLG setup and push the envelope a bit further, but I guess its not gonna happen with our cars unless one is willing to run camber and stretch the tires.

I have 10.5 wide wheels and 275s in the back, and I'm good to go.

Any rubbing? Do you think you could fit 285's in the rear?
