Im getting 18X8 all around on my g35x
Ive been researching and I've decided to get either the bridgestone potenza or the yokohama advan sport.

Both kind of tires are 225/50R18
Is this the right size to get?

 

When I replace my A/S's on my summer wheels (OEM 18's) I will get 245/45. Might as well get a little more width when I plunk down the cash, plus teh Kuhmos I am looking at do not have curb protectors. The 45 will make diameter the same so limits speedo difference.

 

so your saying, with more tire width, it will increase the accuracy of the speedo?

 

No, but 245/45 18 are the same outside diameter as 225/50's so you can find more tires to match your needs and for an added bonus get more rubber under your car for cornering.

Look at tire rack for an idea on the number of possiblities. In the 225, you only have 8-10. In the 245 size, there are almost 40 different tires.

By the way, post some pics when you get them installed

 

since ur olredy spending the money, might as well go 245. this will give u more grip during spirited driving and will make ur G looks better from the rear...er wider tires.
