Deep dish rims on AWD

Question for y'all. I'm looking at getting rims for the car as the snow is finally starting to melt away here in the northeast. Can you put a deep-dish set-up on an AWD car? I found a sweet set of rims I like, but is this gonna work - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...TQ:MOTORS:1123

I heard that you cant put a staggered setup like this on an AWD only on a RWD. So I'm wondering, 1) is this true - if it wont work with the car, oh well, I guess I look for something else, 2) if its not true, is it going to look funny? I heard that the wheels would stick out from the fenders so wondering what that looks like if anyone has any pics to share.

Basically I want to keep the car stock, no lowering and would like to get 20" rims with a nice deep lip if possible.

Thanks!

A staggered setup would throw off your VDC and TCS so it's not a good idea. You're gonna have to look for something else. If you want a bigger lip you could go for low offsets, but unless you throw on 10" rims front and back with at least a +40 offset or lower you won't get too much lip, 10" up front aren't a very good choice for the front (they won't even fit).

If you're not planning on lowering the car at all then 20's might not look too good cause it'll make the car look like a 4x4...especially with the high ride height of the X's. Go for 19's without a drop.

There are certain wheel manufacturers that offer dish options like "high disk" (clears BBKs, but less obviously less lip), "normal disk", or "low disk" (deepest dish). Each manufacturer uses their own term, but they mean the same.

I have a set of rims that are coming in next week. For the fronts, they are 8.5" wide +25mm offset. I picked the normal disk option. That'll give me a 70mm (~2.75") lip. If I had picked the "low disk" option (though I'm not sure if it would clear my front brakes..even my regular Journey brakes), that would've given me a 77mm (~3") lip.

But I am lowered, so I can get away with 8.5" +25mm offset. If I were at stock height (and I know you don't want to lower the car), the wheels would extend past the fenders quite a bit and look very funny, like what Borna said .

So the question is really how much lip do you want?

Grant, if you see this (or anyone else that knows)...can you let us know if an O disk rim will clear our stock brakes or not...also if we could go for an R disk up front and O (or A) disk in the rear with the G37 Akebono BBK
If we can fit R disk rims up front and O disks in the rear with the BBK then I could have a 3" lip up front and 4" lip out back with the setup I'm looking at
