I'm leaning toward yokohamas H4S, anyone using this?'

go to tirerack.com to check out the options and prices, i find it to be pretty fair.

Get the Yoko Avid V4s, the h4s is not a z rated tire. I have the V4s and have put around 20k miles on them and they have plenty of tread left.

Tire Rack is a great resource. go on there and enter the tire size, then read the reviews about the tires that fit your budget and check out the user ratings to see how they compare to other tires in their class. The one caveat is that you need to take reviews done by people who've had their tires for 300 miles with a grain of salt. Pretty much everybody thinks what they just bought is the best choice, otherwise why would they have bought it?

IMO, Kumho tends to offer good value. Michelin on the other hand makes a few great tires and the rest are just overpriced garbage (read the tirerack.com reviews and you'll see what I mean).

I used the Khumos Ecsta SPT on my STi, were great and 1/2 the price of the potenza OE's. I will get these again when my A/S's wear out, but will bump up to 245 width. Tirerack is having a sick sale on Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R in some sizes. Not sure if the sale is cause they are stinky, or what. But might wanna look into those.

The Potenza RE-01Rs are super sticky summer tires. Upside is awesome road holding ability. Downside is they can't be used in near freezing temps or below, and the treadwear rating is only 140 or 180, so they'll wear out crazy fast.

look at www.edgeracing.com too. and you can do 235/50x17 for a slightly more meaty look and better options in tires.

tirerack or discounttire would be one of the cheapest place to buy. I think.

I had Falken 912 on my 07G and it was awesome till hit 50 of the thread depth. Was totally different animal after that. Did not like the outcome. Not sure their other product tho.

I went to V4s on my '03 G35 and was very happy with them. I'll probably replace the Goodyears with Avids on my 07 G35X when the time comes. Good choice and not horrendously expensive.
