IDK id the FI follows the OE path exactly or not

Has anyone installed this in combination with the FI exhaust?
....any clearance issues?

I emailed GT spec a while ago about the M brace and A/M exhausts. They had no info on any exhaust (other than the oem) fitting with the M brace.

...I thought about this a little more after I posted.

I get my FI tomorrow.
I thought I'd make a template of the OE exhaust before I remove it.
Then I can check it against the FI after I install it.

That M brace is critical to the floor brace working properly IMO.

I would like to get all of them at once, but i rather spend my cash on mods instead, so i'll be getting FSB and sway bars 1st, i'll see if i'll get the rest later.
I wonder if that M brace would fit the Invidia, but somehow i doubt that, i'll try to compare clearance between stock exhaust and the Invidia, it should arrive anytime at the end of this week or on the weekend.

Amplified Motorsports said it will. There was a g37 at the shop and he had a M brace with the Inivida exhaust. The piping is the same style.
I can double check for you bro.

...I'm still looking into the fit on a FI system.

I thought I read a post that someone has installed it on an FI,
but I can't find the needle in the haystack.

You can buy it, try it, if it worked then you lucky, if it didn't then you can try and sell it to any member here.

OR you can go to any dealer and try testing if it'll fit before buying it, that would help us a lot to decide wether to get it or not.

Just tell Robby to check it at Lou's shop if Lou has it in stock.

From that picture, it looks like the M brace sits at least as high as the top bend in the sway bar--there shouldn't be any reason why an aftermarket exhaust wouldn't work with it.

From that angle, it's hard to tell.

That looks like a stock sway bar, but most of us have Hotchkis which are slightly fatter too. I think the Hotchkis sits a bit lower too due to the new mounts/thicker bushings, but I could be wrong. Something to keep in mind.

+1 on being hard to tell from that angle.

here's a different angle.
In this one you can see how the OE exhaust dips down where the M brace crosses.
AFAIK most aftermarket exhaust comes straight through.

...it's definitely lower than the sway bar.

As for the sedan, we dont have any weird bends in our exhaust.
I just tried to compare my Invidia to my stock exhaust and it seems like we should be able to clear it.

I just did the sane with my FI & took a couple of pics......
Looks OK to me too, I'll be ordering.

...worst case a small spacer under the hangar to drop it a smidge.

arrow is where M brace bolts up
