Are 07-08 Journey brake pads interchangeable w/any previous year?

Are 07-08 G35 sedan Journey brake pads interchangeable w/any previous year? (I'm also wondering are G37 sedan Journey brakes the same as the 07-08's?)

Contrary to what certain aftermarket brake manufacturers' product fitment guides say (e.g. Akebono), my dealer tells me 07-08 pads are not interchangeable w/previous years.

I want to get aftermarket pads but I can't fully trust the manufacturers' product fitment guides because they often mistake the V36 for a V35.

I just got my brake pads changed to an aftermarket set but I'm not sure what guide they used for fitment. I mention this because now my car's brake pedal is mushy and not as touchy as it used to be. It's extremely annoying I can't figure out why it is doing this.

Can you pls clarify which previous year G sedan or G coupe's brake pads are interchangeable with 07+ G35 sedan Journey?

So I guess the dealership parts dept guy was BSing or just assumed that they are different. I asked him to compare part numbers, but they want specific VINs to look up parts, but obviously I can only provide them with my 07 G sedan's VIN.

Which aftermarket pad did you go with? And do you know the p/n?

Sounds like you need to replace your brake fluid. You probably have some air in your brake lines, and air compresses very readily, whereas brake fluid does not.

I'm still new to this but the brake center I went to turned the rotors and installed carquest brake pads part numbers pd-888 (front) and pd 1288 (rear).

The difference in stopping power is definitely there but not too noticeable but the feel of the brakes are just terrible compared to the OEM pads. These are mushy and maybe take 30-40% applied pressure to the brake in order for the car to start stopping instead of maybe 10% on the OEM pads. The OEM's were much much more grippy and I loved that. Maybe there's just air in the line like someone suggested but I feel like its more of the brake bad. I'm not sure though. I don't like this though I like the brakes to be extremely grippy should I replace the bads or is there another alternative (other then some BBK kit)?
